Project Timeline

The hydro layer of ArcGIS data for Delaware County showed 925 ponds in the area. I have chosen 5 action sites for monitoring water quality, birds, and plants at retention ponds. These action sites are all on or near the Ohio Wesleyan campus. The sites chosen are Meijer Marsh, Meek Pond, and ponds at Blue Limestone Park, Smith Park, and the new YMCA. 

Water Quality Monitoring

• continue to research different monitors to find the most appropriate one
• decide if real-time is worth the money

Birds:

• work this into grant
• I don’t think this is real-time, but it can be analyzed by students in the class and is much cheaper
• compile past bird data from Dr. Burtt into a spreadsheet – start April 9, finish April 16

Plants:

• compile data from Dr. Johnson into spreadsheet – start April 16, finish April 23
